At a round table, experts discuss how sustainable nutrition can contribute to improving public health.

Nutrition has a key function for public health: those who eat a healthy diet can prevent non-communicable diseases such as obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. At the same time, the way food is produced has a major impact on the environment and sustainability.

Together with Public Health Switzerland, the Steering Committee of the NRP 69 is organising an online event on 23 November 2021, from 1.30 p.m. to 5 p.m., to discuss the perspectives for nutrition of the future with experts from administration, research and politics. Sign up and join the
discussion!

The four directors of the Federal Office of Public Health, the Federal Office for the Environment, the Federal Office for Agriculture as well as the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office take part in the round table. Together they will discuss the challenges facing the Swiss food system and refer to the Confederation's current strategies.

In another debate, a number of politicians will discuss their visions of the nutrition of the future.

Registration is mandatory for participation in the online event.
