SSA conference 2017: Sustainable agri-food systems

The annual conference 2017 of the The Swiss Society for Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology (SSA) will focus on the question: how to promote a sustainable agri-food system? Researchers wishing to contribute to the conference should submit an abstract by 30 September 2016.

Population growth, climate change, scarce natural resources and advances in technology are only a few of the developments currently challenging the agri-food system in Switzerland and abroad. The annual conference 2017 of the Swiss Society for Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology (SSA) will look at the question how foodstuffs can be supplied economically and without any negative environmental or societal impacts across the entire value chain.

The conference is aimed at scientists, stakeholders and representatives of public offices. Discussions will focus on current research results, possible solutions, and challenges for the economic and political realms.

Contributions in the form of oral presentations or posters are welcome. Abstracts can be submitted until 30 September 2016 in German, English or French.
